This couple was such a joy to work with. These images were created on a groomy Sunday,but after warming up to the camera they quickly begin to bring in the sunlight. They call Impressions by Robinson Photography up for a two part series. The first set are these (b&w)for more of classical look and the next set well, I don't want to give that away so you'll just have to wait and see what the second set is like. I know I can't wait.

I've been working hours after hours working on the new website for this company and I'm finally done. That's is step 1 in the renovation phase of my company. I know I haven't posted in awhile and I will get to posting some photographic entries, but I just had to write about the win for our new president elect Barack Obama, so humor me for a moment. I am so excited about America's choice for Barack. I went to vote yesterday putting my vote in for Obama and praying that this time my selection would be the winner, being from Florida I was a little worried. Never in my wildest dream did I think in my lifetime (and I'm young) that we would have a black president, I'm proud to be apart of this process, I'm happy for my children to witness this, and I'm glad that people like my grandmother, who paved the way could witness this. I remember reading as a little girl about the civil rights movement and doing research, paper after paper about black power, Martin L. King's dream and equal rights and now my children can enjoy this in their history books. I can remember telling some of my older relatives about how much times have change and now they can see exactly how much so. If you can appreciate anything about last night you have to appreciate this,the fact that once again blacks, whites, hispanics, asians, every color, race and religion came together and made change possible. You got to love America, I know I do!

E-Session with H&R

I know it's been awhile, but I've been out having my newborn son. There is a lot of catching up to do and I'll be sure to post photos of the baby as well. Look forward to some interesting sessions. Right now, I'm going to start it off with a wonderful couple...

Love was definitely in the air yesterday. I almost forgot how beautiful love could be that was until my photo session with Hank and Robin. These two are crazy in love and personally they made me crazy for them. It's rare that you find a couple that every frame is exactly what you wanted, but you can only get that when the chemistry is there and believe me, they have it! All the smiles, games, and little touches here and there was a blessing to watch. This couple is one of those couples that you know is just going to last a lifetime and I can say that I was there for the beginning. They even have a beautiful engagement story on Myspace. Hank and Robin I know that love can be so sweet and I wish you two all the sweetness in the world.

Birthday Present

Trip to the Dentist

I just wanted to recommend a dentist by the name of Douglas L. Evans, D.M.D. I had to go to the dentist just last week and Dr. Evans is the only one willing to work with me (pregnancy). While I was there I experienced great conversations as well as great service. Later, that evening after my appointment I received a courtesy call from Dr. Evans, which I have never experience from a dentist before and I was just taken. So I would surely recommend Dr. Evans to anyone that need dental service in the greater Tallahassee area. So brides if you need that extra cleaning before your wedding day look him up. I had the opportunity this week to photograph a family that I have come to adore (The Cunningham Family). There is six children within this family however, I only photographed three. These three were the girls maybe next week we will be able to catch up with the boys. The family haven't seen the pictures yet so I can only give you a preview of what's to come.

Family Ties - Part I

It's been a long time since I've taken pictures of my family. My husband makes a joke about me being like the barber that never cuts his hair, but does everyone else. So I'm taking the next couple of weeks to dedicating so time to my own family. Starting off this series is Evoni my "Baby Girl" (my only girl). Next it'll be between my two sons and once the baby arrives we'll have pictures of him or her. The last part to the series will be the whole family, maybe they'll make for interesting Holiday cards.

So here we go....Evoni...What can I say about her, she so full of life, so energetic, so playful, so in your face! But getting her to smile without it seeming too staged is normally impossible, but for this session it was smooth as butter. And what a wonderful smile it was.

Changing The Community

I received the chance to photograph a Town Hall Meeting for an organization that I greatly appreciate. NFEDC called me up late night the night before this meeting and ask if I would be the organization personal photographer for this event. I couldn't turn a offer like this down. The meeting for those that were there was a very interesting. The people of the City of Quincy came together to voice their opinions on what's wrong and what they can do to change the community which they live in. I've never been to anything like this and it just blew my mind. I'm glad someone is interested in what goes on in this community. Keep up the good work NFEDC.

I stated before that I shot my two favorite Seniors, here Shan. Shan has shown interest in modeling and doesn't exactly know if she could do it. Shan I believe in you, you are a talented young lady with a unique look. Don't take time for granted and if it is your dream, follow it. There is nothing wrong with trying.

Both Seniors are graduating today from East Gadsden High School and of course my schedule is clear for today. I'll post something from the graduation tomorrow. Congratulations you two! I'm sooooooo proud!

I could go on and on with photo after photo for this couple, from engagement to wedding this couple was a pleasure to photograph. I don't know if there is any other couple out there with this much chemistry. Fran and Jorge just consume each other and it shows in picture. We started shooting from 10a.m. until 11p.m. (what can I say they know how to have a ball). Even though it was a long day, it was a day full of culture and a love that is so rare. Thank you two for letting me be a part of your special day.

Baby, Me, and He Make Three!!!

I love doing maternity sessions, besides weddings these are my favorites. To me there is nothing more important than bringing life into this world, it's so must beauty and joy in it. It takes a strong woman (and back, lol) to be a mother. As a woman we sometimes think we are unattractive during these times, but take it from me ladies this is so far from the truth. Some women embrace this radiant beauty and have portraits done. Take this couple for instance, I had a good time and so did this couple. This session also gave me a chance to play around with my Photoshop. Don't you think the second photo goes with the whole baby theme?

When The Sun Goes Down

These students of East Gadsden High School gave me a "run for my money". Handsome, creative, sporty, beautiful, and innovative are some of the words that describes my clients today (or shall I say tonight). We started the photo session after 5:45 p.m. this evening. First up were Demetric and Larry, two very talented guys (bottom photographs) in their chosen sports. Ladies sports aren't the only thing they're good at...Just take a look for yourself and see what I'm talking about.

This next person, I would truly feel bad if he did not come to me personally for his Senior Portraits. I've been photographing this young man for years and years. Demetric is someone special, he's part of my Senior Models, he can be photographed any way, he's my brother! The next person is also one of my Senior Models her name is Shan. And if there was anyone that could go on a photo shoot with three other persons and bring the heat toward themselves, she is that person. Shan was a ball to photograph - crazy, funny, energetic, quick with the poses, and beautiful. Shan demanded the center stage. I remember being a senior in high school and I remember not wanted those "one size fits all" photos, I wanted more. So I chose to give these two more. Anybody can have the senior photography company chosen by their school, Wal-Mart, or Olan Mills, but what's the fun in that?

I usually don't do photo shoots on Thanksgiving (unless it's a wedding), but this client call and said she needed something as soon as possible. I figured it's no time like the present! I photographed this young lady since she was a senior in high school. I have seniors wondering what an experience with me is like. I like to think it's an incredible, touching, easy going, fun, interesting, creative and personal experience. I love it when the client comes back again and again and I try to make the experience even more pleasurable than the last time. I had so much fun doing this shoot with Ms. Reese. She always bring so much life into room. It's been 6 years since I did her senior photograph and I hope she'll continue to come 60 more years from now.

Living Life RICH

On July 29th I had a chance to witness love once again. Every day I truly witness love, but seeing it through the eye of a camera lens has always amazed me. I don't think it's in anything more beautiful than capturing emotions on film. The Richardsons definitely have love in their eyes. I appreciated having the chance to help with capturing all of the memories that seem to go by all to fast when you heart is pumping and the only thing you want to say is "I Do" so that you can spend the rest of you life with this wonderful person you love. The Richardson's Wedding was simplistic and charming. I had a chance to do portraits at Lake Ella for the first time in all of my six years in this industry. The couple opted for traditional black & white photographs with little color photographs. By the end of the night I could truly say the Richardsons are indeed RICH!
